On a warm and sunny day in Tamboril, considered to many as the cigar capital of the world, lying in the outskirts of Santiago, Dominican Republic, lies Jose Arnaldo Blanco, known to all as “Jochy”, puffing calmly on cigar. A man who has worked with tobacco for as long as he can recall and his unconditional love and passion for it is obvious to all.
Through hard work and determination, he’s grown and processed tobacco to perfection throughout his tenure as a manufacturer and grower for the last few decades, and his factory Tabacalera Palma has been the home for outstanding cigars that have gained the love and appreciation of smokers all over the world.
MADURO
La Galera reserves largely consist of tobacco grown in their farms; however, significant portions of their holdings have come from scouring the world’s best farms to secure collections flushed with potential to mature into something special. In doing so, La Galera are able to focus solely on crafting blends that deliver the most exceptional quality and experience like La Galera Maduro.
The Maduro is comprised of a rich San Andrés wrapper with delicious Piloto and Crillo 98 tobacco from Tabacalera Palma’s Jacagua and Gurabo farms. Ultimately, a balanced and pleasant smoke conditioned for the consistent performance the smoker deserves.

The La Galera Maduro Cortador Torpedo delivers a rich, full-flavored profile driven by its dark San Andrés wrapper, starting with robust notes of dark chocolate, earth, and freshly ground coffee. As the smoke progresses through its tapered tip, the flavors intensify, bringing out subtle layers of sweet molasses, baking spices, and a pleasant dash of black pepper. The finish is smooth and long, leaving a satisfying trace of dark cocoa and toasted oak on the palate.
